






Kachin State Government is endeavoring for resettlement of displaced people in the state and closing temporary relief camps.
On the 27th July, the Kachin State Ministers met the households who will resettle in their native villages from Shwe Set ward Baptish Church Compound in Myitkyina and provided assistance. The State Ministers for Economic Affairs, Natural Resources and Social Affairs and departmental officials met the households who will remove to the places of origin and the State Minister for Social Affairs gave encouragements to the families.
Then, the state ministers and officials presented 27 bags of rice and 27 visses of edible oil for 160 people of 26 households who will resettle in Tarlaw Gyi village and their houses in their own arrangement from Shwe Set Baptish Church camp and 5 people of 1 household who will relocate to Kazuu village, Waingmaw township from Maw Phaung Khar Nan Baptish Church camp.
The State Disaster Management Department also provided over 1.48 million kyats for the rice price per month and 2.7 million kyats for the moving cost and relief items and the State Red Cross Supervisory Committee provided hygiene items for families, respectively. One behalf of the households, a local spoke words of thanks.
