Research and Regeneration Farm : LB applied research & regeneration farm inspected

Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Dr. Ye Tun Win inspected ThaPhan  Livestock Breeding Applied Research and Regeneration Farm in Meikhtila Township, Mandalay Region, on 1st August. He urged officials to strengthen efforts to improve local goat and sheep breeds, during the inspection.

The Deputy Minister later met goat farmers in Suu Phyu Kwat  Village to discuss expanding goat farming, promoting locally available livestock feed and forage cultivation and fulfilled the farmers' needs. He also visited private goat farms.

The Deputy Minster then separately met departmental officials from Meikhtila, Pyawbwe  and Yamethin township offices of Livestock Breeding and Veterinary Department. During the meeting, he emphasized the promotion of local livestock farming, development of small and medium-sized livestock-based businesses, biosecurity measures and prevention of livestock diseases.
