Rescued alive after 91 hours: A 63-year-old woman trapped for 91 hours rescued alive

One woman trapped in building No. 3369 after the earthquake in Zambuthiri Township, Naypyidaw, was rescued alive at 9:15 AM on April 1st, according to a statement from the Myanmar Fire Service Department.

In Zambuthiri Township, Naypyidaw, at building No. 3369, a 63-year-old woman was trapped when the earthquake began shaking. She was found alive after 91 hours later at 7:58 AM on April 1, 2025.

Following this, under the close supervision of Director General U Myat Thu of Myanmar Fire Service Department, members of the Myanmar Fire Brigade’s Search and Rescue (Special) Unit, along with rescue teams from the Yangon Region and relevant organizations, conducted the rescue operation. At 9:15 AM, she was successfully rescued alive and transported to a 1000-bed Nay Pyi Taw Hospital for treatment.
