The government is rapidly investigating and assessing the damages in the earthquake-affected areas and is concurrently conducting rescue operations in a timely manner.

International humanitarian aid is also being provided, with rescue teams, doctors, and nurses, as well as humanitarian assistance materials and medicines arriving in Myanmar daily from relevant countries. In the morning and afternoon on April 1st, a total of 14 aircraft from Russia, Indonesia, Thailand, Bhutan, the Philippines, Laos, and Bangladesh, carrying search and rescue teams, doctors, and nurses, as well as humanitarian assistance materials and medicines, have arrived at the Tatmadaw Airport in Nay Pyi Taw.

Officials from the ministries of foreign affairs, social welfare, and relief and resettlement welcomed the search and rescue teams, doctors, and nurses that arrived today at the airport. It has been reported that these rescue teams will be split into groups to assist the affected populations in the earthquake-hit areas with timely search and rescue efforts, as well as medical treatment.
