Rescue operation underway as 170 killed in Nepal floods

Nepal’s Home Ministry confirmed 170 death toll due to flood, landslide, inundation and natural disaster incidents.

Similarly, 42 people have gone missing and 61 have sustained injuries due to the disaster-related incidents. More than 3,000 people have been safely rescued throughout the country with the active participation of the security forces.

All means are deployed to open the road sections of highways damaged by the disaster. The security forces are actively carrying out rescue and relief works and taking the injured persons to hospitals for treatment.
