Rescue Operation: Two people rescued alive after 5 days trapped

At Aye Chan Thar Hotel in Ottarathiri Township, Nay Pyi Taw Council Area, a 26-year-old hotel maintenance/staff member named Naing Lin Tun, who had been trapped, was rescued by Myanmar Fire Brigade special search and rescue team members, in collaboration with the GEA Search and Rescue team from Türkiye.

The rescue operation began at 3:00 PM on April 1st, and 12:30 AM on April 2, Naing Lin Tun was successfully rescued alive. He was rescued alive on the 5th day after a severe earthquake, and efforts are ongoing to rescue one more person. Rescue teams continued to work tirelessly to save the remaining individual in cooperation with the rescue teams from Turkiye and Viet Nam.

At 1:15 PM after about three and half hours of rescue works, the rescue team got contact with the trapped victim, 26-year-old Htet Maung Maung. At 1:55 PM, the trapped person was successfully rescued. He was then sent to the hospital for the necessary medical treatment.
