Rescue Operation: Coast Guard rescues stranded boat in Myanmar’s Sea

A rescue operation was carried out after a boat sank about 156 miles south of Yangon on Saturday.

The Myanmar Navy and the Coast Guard, along with support vessels from the Zawtika Oil Rig, joined forces to rescue passengers stranded on the sinking boat. The operation, which began in the early morning, successfully saved 86 people by transferring them to a navy vessel. Medical treatment was provided to those in need. The rescued individuals are being transferred to safety and are being carefully monitored and taken care of according to the proper procedures.
