Rescue measures underway for the sunken boat in Istanbul

A private boat sank last night in Istanbul’s Bosphorus in front of the Huber Mansion in Sarıyer district, Turkiye. The boat first capsized and then sank rapidly. 3 of the 4 people on the boat and a dog swam to the coastline, they were brought ashore with the help of those on another boat who realised the situation.

Coast Guard teams started a search and rescue operation for 1 missing person. It is learnt that the missing person is 31-year-old Emre Erdoğan and works as a ‘seaman’ in City Lines. Fishermen joined the search operations in the morning.
