Rescue and Rehabilitation: Foodstuff and relief items transported to affected areas

Foodstuff and relief items donated by families of Tadmadaw (Army, Navy and Air) and well-wishers and supplies provided by the National Disaster Management Committee are being transported to the affected areas by Tadmadaw aircrafts and navy vessels.

On 15th June, foodstuff including rice, garlic, canned fish and vegetable, utensil and medicines weighing 7.7 tonnes donated by the Tamadaw families and well-wishers were transported to the Sittwe Airport by Tadmadaw aircrafts.

Until now, Tatmadaw transported 532.1 tonnes of relief aid and 3,338 Tatmadawmen and departmental staffs to carry out rescue measures and rehabilitation tasks in the affected areas. Tatmadaw continues to distribute the relief aid to the storm-hit areas by helicopters and officials accepted the transported items.
