


Torrential rain lashed Qujing City in China’s Yunnan Province on Saturday, with floodwaters reaching depths of over 2 meters in low-lying areas.Firefighters battled rising floodwaters across south China over the weekend after heavy downpours left many residents trapped.
Firefighters used rubber boats to reach the stricken residents and evacuate them to safety. Meanwhile, major floods were also reported on Sunday morning in a village of Chongzuo City. Local firefighter departments dispatched rescuers on rowing kayaks to reach three trapped villagers, where the water reached up to 80 centimeters. They transferred them to safety in just over 20 minutes.
