Replied to the queries of media: SAC information team leader replied to the media

The Leader of the Information Team of State Administration Council Maj-Gen Zaw Min Tun accompanied Myanmar High-Level Delegation led by the Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister on the official State visits to the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus, replied to queries raised by media at the Nay Pyi Taw Airport in the evening on March 9 after arriving at the airport by the High-Level Delegation.

In his replies, the leader of information team stated the benefits that the High-level State visits have brought to the country by categorizing three sectors: politics, economy, and social affairs. Regarding politics, the delegation has gained assurances in terms of international relations. Russia and Belarus have long stood by Myanmar on the international stage, and the firm assurances that they will continue to do so have been received.

The other point is the announcement of the period when the multiparty General Election is to be held, strongly backing the election process by Russia and Belarus and the monitoring and observation teams will be sent, signing agreements with Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus on multi sectors, Dawei deep sea port project signed an MoU with Russia to work on this project.

The leader of information team summarized that this trip has created positive prospects for Myanmar’s future. It contributes to our goal of returning to a multiparty democratic system, making progress, achieving success, and ensuring nationwide development.
