Renovation Works: Preserving the ancient cultural heritage

Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Tin Oo Lwin visited Shwezigon Pagoda in Bagan Ancient Heritage Zone on Sunday and inspected the preservation work on the stone inscription of King Kyan Sittha’s Bigraphy and the Memory of the World listed Bell of King Bayint Naung.

They also oversaw the renovation of building and excavation of original sand stone floor. Then, the Union Minister attended a meeting to draft a master plan for sustainability of renovation works for Shwezigon Pagoda. The meeting discussed the drafting of the master plan in cooperation with the experts, as guided by the Head of State.
