Renovation Works: MOALI Union Minister inspects work undertakings at Kintha Dam

Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Min Naung on March 12th inspected the renovation works and water inflow of Kintha Dam in Tatkone Township in Nay Pyi Taw.

During the inspection, the Union Minister instructed for timely completion of renovation processes and irrigation system under the guidance of the Head of State. 

Due to the impact of Typhoon Yagi in September 2024, the dam caused minor damages as it experienced heavy inflow of water. On September 15th, Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing made field inspection and instructed for implementation of renovation works.

Renovation processes of damaged facilities include earth work for reinforcement of the dam, dredging of silt, repairing of conduit, spillway channels and irrigated system. 

The work process have been carried out with the budget allotment of Union Government Fund, and it is targeted to complete 100% by the end of March.
