Renovation Works: Inspection at Bagan Archaeological Site

Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Tin Oo Lwin visited Bagan Archaeological Site on Sunday to inspect the work implementation on the guidance of the head of state, along with the renovation of ancient lakes. As per the instruction by the head of state, Hteelo Minlo Pagoda is in the process of upgrading works, including offering gold foils to nine Buddha images and pavement laying on the pagoda’s platform.

Likewise, Thakyarpone Pagoda undergoes renovation by the Department of Archaeology and National Museum, with the support of Archaeological Survey of India. The renovation process includes the measures for durability of mural paintings and main structure.
