Renovation Works: All-round renovation of Lawka Nanda Pagoda in Sittwe

Renovation works are underway at Lawka Nanda Pagoda in Sittwe of Rakhine State.

On Saturday, the State Government made clarification on the renovation works to the Sayadaws and members of the Sangha. As part of renovation process, two new shrines are under construction for revering of Maravijaya Buddha Image and Ahbaya Labamuni Buddha Image.

The shrines will also be ornamented with the Myanmar traditional arts and crafts. In addition, the pagoda platform will be illuminated through solar power supply, along with the laying of heat resistant gravel plates. Moreover, plans are underway to hoist umbrella atop the ancient historic Letwe Thalonetaw Dat Ceti while implementing the all-round renovation works.
