Renovation tasks: Damaged office & training school in Sittwe repaired

Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung together with officials inspected completion of a concrete road implemented by over 260 million kyats permitted budget of 2022-2023 FY of the Ministry of Border Affairs on Kangaw Kyun-Zaw Matat-Chaung Nwe village-to-village road in Sittwe township, durability of 150-ft long Zaw Matat creek crossing bridge and measures of the axis of concrete road to be implemented with over 307 million kyats budget in 2023-2024 FY.

The Union Minister called on officials for upgrading that road to a concrete one.

Afterwards, the Union Minister and party looked into damaged staff housings by the cyclone at the Border Area Development Supervisory Office and cleaning debris at the office building and repairing works and gave necessary instructions and coordinated the needs.

After that, the Union Minister cordially met the staff and families and provided food and cash.

At the Training School for development of nationalities youth from border areas, he inspected cleaning of hostels, mess halls and teaching halls for opening the schools within target time and renovation of damages as much as possible. He fulfilled the needs on the reports of officials and provided food and cash assistance to the staff.
