Renovation of healthcare facilities :Station hospital and health centres repaired in Rakhine

Myanmar Licensed Contractors’ Association MLCA (Rakhine State) is taking responsibility of the renovation for the station hospital and health centres in cyclonic storm Mocha hit Rakhine State and it’s now completed 80%.

Myanmar Licensed Contractors’ Association (Rakhine State) is implementing that in 4 townships of Sittwe, Rathedaung, Ponnagyun and Maungdaw.

The Secretary of MLCA (Rakhine State) said about the current completion of the renovation works.

Secretary , MLCA (Rakhine State), Khin Maung Oo said “The 70% of buildings have been completed at 100%. The remaining ones are at 85, 70, and 75 % of completion respectively. All the works that we’ve been undertaking in 4 townships are completed at 85%. In PonnagyunTownship, it’s completed cent percent.”

The roof repairing works have been made prioritizing the township hospital buildings, 9 station hospitals, over 30 buildings of the department of health and sub health centers in the townships of Rathedaung, Maungdaw and Ponnagyun.

The Secretary of MLCA (Rakhine State) explained about the speedy implementations for the reaming tasks.

Secretary, MLCA (Rakhine State),Khin Maung Oo said“Our first priority is to roof over all damaged buildings. All the works have been done 85%. The remaining percentages are to be completed as quickly as possible. We work intensively when the rain is light and we have to delay works when the rain is heavy. After completion of roofing, it doesn’t take much time to implement for the ceiling works, painting and water/electricity works.”

MLCA and MLCA (Rakhine State) are renovating station hospital, hospital buildings and Basic Education High Schools and Sub Basic Education High Schools that were affected by cyclonic storm Mocha.
