Renewable Energy : 3.37 MW Thilawa solar power pilot project opens

The opening ceremony of the 3.37-megawatt Thilawa Solar Power Generation Pilot Project was held at the Thilawa Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Thanlyin Township of Yangon Region on Friday.

The ceremony was attended by Yangon Region Chief Minister U Aung Naing Thu, and officials, representatives from Thilawa Property Development Limited (TPD), Myanmar Japan Thilawa Development Limited (MJTD), Myanmar Thilawa SEZ Holdings Public Company Limited (MTSH), and Thilawa SEZ Management Committee.

The pilot project, located in the Residential and Commercial Area of Thilawa Garden City, aims to generate electricity through renewable energy and support sustainable power supply within the Thilawa Special Economic Zone.
