Rendering Health Care Services: Security Board Care Well General Clinics provide services

With the aim for rendering more health care services, the Social Security Board of the Ministry of Labour has opened the Social Security Care Well General Clinics.

The Care Well General Clinics are providing treatments to insured workers with free of charge as well as to the people at the reasonable prices. The Social Security Care Well General Clinics of the Social Security Board have been opened at the Hlaing Thaya Industrial Zone since 2015 and now there are 11 clinics in Yangon Region and 2 clinics in Nay Pyi Taw, totaling 13.

Dr. Muya Nyunt, Managing Director, Social Security Care Well General Clinics said "To provide antenatal care services for pregnant factory workers, 3 social security Apex Specialist clinics and Maternity rooms are opened. Shwe Pyi Tha Industrial Zone Clinic has been opened since 2016. As the treatment, we have been providing treatments to common diseases, muscle related diseases, non-communicable diseases such as hypertension and diabetes. We also give treatments to minor procedures such as injuries at works. "

According to the Managing Director of Social Security Care Well General Clinics, the Social Security Board has asked permission for antenatal care services, the pregnant workers can receive maternity care services with relevant obstetricians and gynecologists at the affiliated hospitals and clinics.

Zar Zar Ni said "I work at Thardukan Industrial Zone. Here, we no need to pay fee for health care service. They also give medicines. I see a specialist doctor. I will give a birth at Insein Hospital and the social security clinic will contact to related hospital when giving a birth."

The Social Security Care Well General Clinic in Shwe Pyi Tha Township is opened at 8 am to 6 pm daily.
