Religious Titles: Conferring ceremony held in Taunggyi

Shan State Government organized a ceremony to confer the religious titles for 2023 at the City Hall in Taunggyi on Sunday.

Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Zaw Aye and party received the Five Precepts from the Chairman of State Sangha Nayaka Committee Patron Sayadaw of TheinTaung PariYahti Sarthintaik.

After listening to the sermon, the Chief Minister submitted the religious matters. It was followed by conferring of the religious titles to the Sayadaws, nuns and laypersons.

The congregation later listened to the sermon and shared the merits gained. The Chief Minister and party then donated rice and offertories to the Sayadaws and members of the Sangha as well as the title recipient Sayadaws.
