Religious Occasion: Ceremony for Construction of Religious Edifices

A Stake Driving Ceremony for construction of Surrounding Cetis and SasanaBeikmandaw was held in the compound of Mara Vijara Buddha Park in Nay Pyi Taw on Wednesday.

Members of the Sangha led by the Chairman of the Stae Sangha MahaNayaka Committee Bamaw Monastery Sayadaw and the recipient Sayadaws for 2022 AbhidajaMahaRahta Guru title graced the ceremony. Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and congregation listened to the sermon and recited the Religious Gathas.

The Prime Minister and party later drove the stakes for the surrounding Cetis at the designated places and sprinkled with scented water. Likewise, the stakes for construction of SasanaBeikmandaw were also driven at the designated places. The surrounding Cetis for the stone inscription have been prepared by taking example of the stone inscriptions at MahaLawkaMarazeinKuthotaw  Pagoda in Mandalay which was inscribed on the UNESCO’s Memory of the World Register in 2013 and also set a Gunnies Record as a world largest book with 729 stone inscriptions.

The stone inscription building will be 12 ft long, 12 ft wide and 18 ft high with 45 inches long 75 inches high and 7.2 inches depth stone plaque. Once the Tripitaka Buddhist Scriptures were inscribed, the stone plaques will be placed in front of Mara Vijara Buddha Image for public obeisance. The Tripitaka Scriptures will be inscribed with Pali and Romanize Languages on the marble slabs with the use of modern technologies, The SasanaBeiknamdaw will also be constructed with the grand decoration of Myanma traditional arts and crafts.
