Religious Meeting: 18th plenary meeting of 8th 47-member SSMNC

The second-day session of the 18th plenary meeting of 8th 47-member State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee continued in the Maha Pasana Cave in Yangon on Saturday.

The meeting was attended by Chairman of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee Thanlyin Min Kyaung Pahtama Pyan Sarthintaik Sayadaw Dr Bhaddanta Sandhima Bhivamsa and member Sayadaws, Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Tin Oo Lwin, and officials of departments concerned.

The Chairman Sayadaw presided over the meeting and Joint Secretary Sayadaw acted as the master of ceremonies. The meeting discussed the activities of the eighth Sangha Nayaka Committee (third subcommittee) conducted during the sixth term as well as Vinicchaya matters, religious and education-related matters.

The meeting also sought approval for the report on the activities of the eighth Sangha Nayaka Committee (third subcommittee) conducted during the sixth term.
