Religious Matters: Replica of Tooth Relic Pagoda to be built in Chauk

Plans are underway to build an 81 ft high replica structure of Tooth Relic Pagoda in Chauk Township for the reverence of the residents from nearby areas in Magwe Region.

On Friday. Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Tin Oo Lwin visited the site which covers over 20 acre land plot in Nyaung Phyu Pin Ground. He instructed to carry out the tasks as soon as possible in collaboration with related departments.

The pagoda will be built with the contribution of well-wishers. In meeting with the departmental personnel, community elders and the pagoda boards of trustees, the Union Minister reiterated that the replica of Tooth Relic Pagoda will be built with the supervision of the Magwe Region Government, and all are urged to cooperate in the construction process.
