Religious Ceremony: Maha Pahtana recitation ceremony held

Organized by Nay Pyi Taw Council, the Dekhina Thiri Township-wise 1st non-stop Maha Pahtana recitation ceremony was opened at the Yan Aung Myin Shwe Let Hla Pagoda on Tuesday.

Members of the sanghas led by Chairman of Dekhina Thiri Township Sangha Nayaka Committee NyaungKon monastery Presiding Sayadaw Buddhanta Pandita graced the ceremony.

First, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Tin Oo Lwin offered flowers, lights and water to the Buddha image in the pagoda.

The Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman, the Council members and congregations then took the Five Precepts from the NyaungKone monastery Presiding Sayadaw. The Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman then supplicated religious affairs and the Council Chairman and party offered Pahtana treatise book, Paritta pot and holy water to Sayadaws and monks.

Led by the Sayadaws and monks, the congregation recited Maha Pahtana Pali and offered day meal. Dekhina Thiri Township-wise the 1st non-stop Maha Pahtana recitation ceremony will be held for 5 days from the 4th to 8th October.
