Religious Ceremony: Conferring of the Honorary Doctorate Degree

A grand ceremony of the 98th birthday and the conferring of honorary doctorate degree to the Kyaing Yin Monastery Sayadaw Baddanta Khemacara was held at the monastery in Keng Tungon 10th May. At the ceremony, the congregation led by Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Zaw Aye received the five Precepts from the Sayadaw.TheKyaing Yin Monastery Sayadaw Baddanta Khemacara later received the honorary doctorate degree certificate from Associate Prof. Dr.PhraRajKhemakorn of Phrae Campus in Thailand. And then, Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Zaw Aye and Triangle Region Command Commander Maj-Gen Ni Lin Aung, State Ministers, State Advocate-General and Shan State Government Secretary donated offertories to the Kyaing Yin Monastery Sayadaw. After that, the Sayadawdelivered words of thanks to donors and concluded the ceremony. Then,the Kyaing Yin Monastery Sayadaw and the Sayadaw of ThiladhammaKonetharTawya Monasterycut the cake marking the 98th birthday celebration of the Sayadaw.
