Religious and Culture Affairs: Union Minister makes donations in Kyaukpadaung

Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Tin OoLwin visited the MyoUAung Pagoda's Community Hall in Kyaukpadaung Township of Mandalay Region, paid respects to members of the Sangha, listened to guidance, supplicated religious affairs and offered cash and religious books to the members of the Sangha.

There, the Union Minister also donated 1,008 Buddha images consecrated at the Uppatasanti Pagoda in Nay Pyi Taw and religious books for locals in the township. And, at the KoneTawGyi Mingalar Pagoda, the Union Minister and officials listened to the uninterrupted recitation of Uppatasanti Pali scripture and offered offertories to members of the Sangha.

The Union Minister also inspected construction of the town hall and gave necessary instructions. Also, at the Kyaukpadaung Township General Administration Department, the Union Minister held a meeting with concerned officials and town elders and urged them to value the Myanmar cultural heritage and religious customs.
