




The Young Men's Buddhist Association (YMBA) launched the 53rd Basic Abhidhamma Class on the 15th of January at its central office in Yangon.
The YMBA has been offering Abhidhamma classes for promotion and propagation of Buddha Sasana while the Buddhists realize the Buddhist literature.
Dr. Aye Min, Associate secretary, YMBA (Central) said "To enter the list of good men, we have to realize the Abhidhamma. If we realize the Abhidhamma, we can know the Buddhist literature. To reach Nirvana, we have to follow the Abhidhamma. We can find the clue of the Nirvana in the Abhidhamma. Those who want to be real Buddhists should attend the Abhidhamma Class."
The Young Men's Buddhist Association (YMBA) offers other courses free of charge in Yangon, it is learnt.
Myo Myint Htun, Associate general secretary, YMBA (central) said "The first Abhidhamma class was in 1967. We open the Abhidhamma every year. We hold examinations and give out certificates. Our Association opens not only Buddhism classes but also other classes like computer and accounting classes. We also offer Spanish, Japanese and Russian language classes. And, we also conduct the 38 elements of Mingala course online."
This 8-month 53rd Basic Abhidhamma Class kicked off on January 15 and classes are on weekend - Saturday and Sunday.
