Religious Affairs: Union Minister receives Sri Lankan Ambassador

Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Tin Oo Lwin on Wednesday received Sri Lankan Ambassador Mrs. PonnamperumaArachchigePrabashiniPonnamperuma at his Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw.

The meeting discussed promotion of cooperation between the two countries in religious and cultural sectors that will be mutually beneficial, religious titles conferring to members of the Sangha, studying at Buddhist universities in the two countries regarding the Theravada Buddhism, visit to famous pagodas in Myanmar and religion and culture-based tourism development.
