Also, the Prime Minister and wife and party donated “Waso” robe, rice and offertories to members of the Sangha residing in Sittwe Township and received five precepts from the Presiding Sayadaw of the Nanda Yama Pariyatti Monastery in Sittwe Township.
Also, the high-ranking officials accompanying the Senior General donated offertories to the monks respectively. Also, the Prime Minster and wife and party listened to the sermon from the Township Ovadacariya Sayadaw of the Tat-U Su Taung Pyae Pariyatti Monastery and shared the merit gained.
Next, the Prime Minster and wife and party paid homage to the presiding Sayadaw of U Ye Kyaw Thu monastery and donated offertories and cash. After that, the Prime Minister enquired about the conditions of damage of the monastery affected by the storm “MOCHA” and coordinated the needs.
Then, the Senior General inspected the damage inside the monastery building and the compound, saying that it is necessary to carry out restoration tasks, the roof repair works, and cleanliness of the monastery compound as quick as possible and instructed the needs.
