Religious Affairs: Russian Orthodox Christian Church to be built

Yangon Mayor U Bo Htay received a delegation led by Russian Orthodox Archbishop His Eminence Sergiy of Metropolitan of South-East Asia.
This meeting focused on construction process of the Russian Orthodox Christian Church in Dagon Myothit (North) Township marking the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Russia and Myanmar.
According to Yangon City Development Committee (YCDC), the Russian Orthodox Christian Church will be built on 1.25 acres of land in Ward 34 extension of Dagon Myothit (North) Township and the construction will be cooperated by the YCDC Engineering Department (Buildings).
