Religious Affairs: MORAC Union Minister receives Russian Ambassador

Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Tin Oo Lwin received Russian Ambassador to Myanmar Mr.Iskander Azizov at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday. 

During the meeting, they cordially discussed several topics, including the invitation of Myanmar monks to the 2nd International Buddhist Forum "Traditional Buddhism and Modern Challenges" to be held in Buryatia Republic, the agreement for constructing a Russian Orthodox Church in Yangon and a cooperation agreement between the National Libraries of Russia and Myanmar.

Additionally, they explored further cooperation in technical assistance for preserving archaeological materials, art programs, and religious and cultural sectors, as well as exchanging library preservation techniques and offering scholarship programs.
