Sagaing Region Government donated cash for construction of the Pon Nya Shin Sasana Beikman on the platform of the Soon Oo Pon Nya Shin Pagoda in Sagaing. This cash donation ceremony on Saturday was attended by Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw and many other officials as well as well-wishers.
In the ceremony, the Sagaing Region Government donated 50 million Kyats and well-wishers also made cash donation for construction of the Pon Nya Shin Sasana Beikman. Certificates of honour were presented to the Sagaing Region Government and well-wishers for their donation.
Offertories were also offered to members of the Sangha. The Chief Minister also visited the site where the Pon Nya Shin Sasana Beikman construction is underway. It’s reported that the Pon Nya Shin Sasana Beikman is designed to be 108 feet long, 54 feet wide and 18 feet high. Also, the Chief Minister attended a coordination meeting on construction of this Sasana Beikman which focused on the construction process, expenditure, cash donation and general discussions on religious affairs.
