Religious Affairs: Donation for Pagoda repair, community hall construction

A ceremony to donate cash for the Shwethalyaung Pagoda repair in Dawei Township area and the Dawei University community hall construction took place on Tuesday at the Tanintharyi Region Government Office.

In the ceremony, Chief Minister U Myat Ko said that cash to be donated by well-wishers will be handed over to concerned officials. The Pagoda Board of Trustees has been working on the repair works and it will be completed soon. Also, the regional government has been constructing a community hall at the Dawei University and another one at the Myeik University.

Construction works will be completed soon, the Chief Minister added. And, the regional government and well-wishers donated 52 million Kyats to concerned officials for the Shwethalyaung Pagoda repair and the Dawei University community hall construction. The ceremony came to an end with presenting certificates of honour to the well-wishers.
