Religious Affair: Meeting to successfully hold 29th Graduation Ceremony

A work coordination meeting to successfully hold the 29th Graduation Ceremony of the State PariyattiSasana University (Yangon/Mandalay) was held at the State PariyattiSasana University in Yangon on Saturday in the presence of Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein.

The meeting began with reciting NamoTassa three times. Then, the Chief Minister delivered an opening remark. Next, joint secretary of the graduation ceremony organizing committee and officials from relevant sub-committees presented reports on preparations to successfully hold the 29th Graduation Ceremony of the State PariyattiSasana University.

Upon reports, Chairman of the organizing committee Yangon Region Minister for Social Affairs U Maung Maung Than coordinated requirements and called for concerted efforts of the relevant committees and the meeting was concluded.

At the 29th Graduation Ceremony of the State PariyattiSasana University, religious titles will be conferred to 39 members of the Sangha from Yangon and Mandalay and a ceremony to offer rice to 88 members of the Sangha will also be held on the same day.
