







Deputy Minister for Social Welfare, Relife and Resettlement U Soe Kyi on Friday visited Magway Township where he met with flood affected people and provided cash assistance for over 8,400 local residents.
In the afternoon, they proceeded to Hman Kin Monestary in Minbu Township, and assisted cash for over 9,000 flood affected people.
During the inspection tour at relief aids storage room under the Magway Region Department of the Natural Disaster Management and Regional Administration Office, the Deputy Minister oversaw the systematic storaging processes of relief aids and implementation of providing assistance. He also made instructions to ensure less wastage of materials, to provide assistance in line with the procedure and to conduct awareness programs continuously.
On the 27th of July, the Deputy Minister visited Yananchaung Township to provide cash assistance for foodstuff to 863 flood affected people. Likewise, he also provided cash assistance for 55 households affected by collapse of embankment at Main Ma Hla Kyun and Mhan Myay Ywar Thit villages.
The Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement provided over 155 million kyats cash assistance for flood affected people in Magway Region including Magway, Minbu and Yananchaung Townships.
