Relief Measures: Providing assistance for fire victims

On Friday morning, Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Soe Win visited temporary relief camp in Nay Pyi Taw to meet fire victims.

During the visit, the Union Minister inspected accommodation conditions, water purification and sanitation, and offered words of encouragement.

The Union Minister and officials provided cash assistance, drinking water, basic food items and kitchen utensils to 310 victims from 60 affected households. They later inspected the fire site, reviewed clearance work and coordinated the needs. A fire broke out in Yan Aung (2) Ward, Pyinmana Township, Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory on the night of December 31st, affecting residents and damaging public property.
