Relief Measures: MOE Union Minister inspects schools in Nay Pyi Taw

On Sunday, Union Minister for Education Dr. Nyunt Pe, accompanied by relevant officials, conducted an inspection of basic education schools in Pobbathiri, Zeyathiri, and Lewe Townships that were impacted by Typhoon Yagi.

In Pobbathiri Township, the Union Minister and party started their inspection at Basic Education Middle School (Tada-U). They assessed the damage, including collapsed walls, water intrusion into classrooms as well as the status of debris removal and cleaning operations.

The Union Minister also offered encouragement to teachers and fulfilled the needs.  Following this, the Union Minister and party continued their tour to Basic Education High School (KyaukChat), Zeyarthiri Township, Basic Education Post-Primary School (AingSauk) and Basic Education Middle School in PaukMyaing, Lewe Township.

Upon arrival, they inspected the classrooms’ damage, provided encouragement to academic personnel and heard reports on the schools' damage conditions. Based on the reports, the Union Minister called on relevant personnel to collaborate on essential maintenance and restoration efforts and speed up the resumption of teaching activities while fulfilling the needs.
