



The Myanmar Licensed Contractors Association (MLCA)said it will transport a total of 38,000 roof sheets to the storm-hit Sittwe of Rakhine State for rehabilitation works, according to the vice chairman of the MLCA.
The association has already sent over 22,000 out of the 38,000 roof sheets via Bo Aung Kyaw Jetty of Yangon and the vessel carrying those roof sheets has arrived at the Sittwe jettyon the 29th of May.
Vice Chairman, Myanmar Licensed Contractors Association, Kyee Myint, said " With the leadership of the Myanmar Licensed Contractors Association, we donated 1.5 billion kyats for the storm-hit areas of Rakhine State for rehabilitation works. We donated over 20,000 10-foot roof sheets as the first batch. We will donate till to reach the target of 38,000.In addition to the construction materials donation, we are carrying out activities to treat charity feast for the storm affected people for a month. We will accelerate our work to load and donate more roof sheets to get shelter before the rainy season."
Due to the cyclone MOCHA which hit Rakhine State on 14th May, houses, school buildings, university, hospitals, clinics and communication posts and electricity power lines were damaged.
