Relief items arrived: Donations of Philanthropic associations of SGP

To the flood affected regions due to the recent floods caused by heavy rain in some regions and states of the country, Singapore Sinhala Buddhist Association, Mahakaruna Buddhist Society and Willing Hearts Humanitarian Assistance Association donated nutritional supplemented rice bags, clothes of adults and children and the personal goods including Jackets, caps and shoes, foodstuffs, shower cream and soap bars through Myanmar Embassy in Singapore.

Those donations were conveyed by Myanmar National Airways (MNA) and Myanmar Airways International (MAI) from 23rd to 27th September in free of charge and over 2 tons of goods arrived at Yangon International Airport on 23rd and 24th September.

It’s reported that the humanitarian assistant items donated by the philanthropic associations of Singapore will be delivered to the people in the flood affected regions across the country under the management of the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement.

The Singapore based Myanmar Embassy is supporting by joining hand with the Singapore Sinhala Buddhist Association, Mahakaruna Buddhist Society and Willing Hearts Humanitarian Assistance Association to get the relief items to the hands of flood affected people and the implementation for the friendly relations and mutual assistance between the people of Myanmar and Singapore which is the basic part of the bilateral relation will be promoted, it’s reported.
