

A relief flight of Air Asia Airways jointly arranged by Myanmar embassy in Kuala Lumpur and respective companies worked by Myanmar migrant workers landed at the Yangon International Airport at 5 pm on 24th September, bringing back a total of 88 Myanmar citizens who were stranded in Malaysia due to the period of international airlines’ flights suspended.
The Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population, Ministry of Health and Sports and local officials helped the returnees for health inspections and arranged for 14-days Hotel quarantine and 7 days home quarantine.
Under the guidance of the Ministry of foreign affairs, Myanmar embassy in Kuala Lumpur of Malaysia is closely collaborating with the relevant organizations to bring back the undocumented Myanmar citizens and those who are detained in the detention centers in Malaysia under various circumstances to Myanmar by the relief flights as quickly as possible after scrutinizing their identities proved their citizenship.
