







Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing inspected the rescue and relief measures at the quake hit areas in Nay Pyi Taw Council area on Sunday.
The Prime Minister and party oversaw the restoration of transportation access for convenience of the commuters. At Ottarathiri Hospital, the Prime Minister heard reports on the damages of the hospital building, and instructed for speedy rescue works of trapped victims and clearing of collapsed building.
The Prime Minister also greeted the members of rescue team from Yunnan Province of China who arrived Myanmar, 18 hours after the quake to assist the rescue works in quake hit areas.
The Chinese Rescue Team is comprised with 37 members, accompanying the 112 emergency rescue equipment. They arrived in Yangon in the early morning of March 29th and then proceeded to Nay Pyi Taw to assist in the rescue measures. So far, the team has rescued one survivor who was trapped under the rubbles in the collapsed building of Ottarathiri Hospital, and continue the rescue works.
The Prime Minister and party later visited Khaymar Thiwun Monastery in Pyinmana and inspected the collapsed prayer hall which is under the clearing process. He also paid respect to the presiding Sayadaw and donated offertories. They then oversaw the damages of buildings in Pyinmana and instructed the need for speedy clearing of debris.
