Relief and Rehabilitation: MCRD Union Minister tours in Nay Pyi Taw

Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe accompanied by concerned officials inspected the relief aids provision and rehabilitation tasks carried out within Nay Pyi Taw Council Area on 13th and 14th of September.

On 13th September, the Union Minister and party visited Basic Education Middle School in Nat Thuye Village of Pyinmana Township and comforted the flood victims from Zephyupin, ThitSeint Pin, Hnan Taw and Paw San Khawt villages and provided rice bags, edible oil, foodstuff and necessary supplies, inspected the drinking water distribution.

Next, the Union Minister inspected the rescue measures conducted by Tatmadawmen and social organizations and provided rice bags and edible oil donated by Nay Pyi Taw Command. On arrival at Pyan Chi Monastery in Lewe Township, the Union Minister comforted the flood victims from ThaphanPin, Yay Kar and Zeepyu Tan villages and provided rice bags, edible oil, foodstuff and necessary supplies and inspected drinking water distribution.

On 14th September, the Union Minister and Party inspected restoration of flood affect wells, water chlorination and cleaning activities conducted in Aye Myint Thaya Village and gave necessary instructions on timely reopening of schools, preschools, clincis and community centers. Subsequently, the Union Minister inspected the installation of Bailey Bridge on KyiTaungKan-Zekone-Laytha inter-village road in Pobbathiri Township and stressed to conduct restoration process in timely manners and to emphasize on long-term durability and disaser resistance of the bridges.

Additionally, the Union Minister and party inspected the damaged areas of Sin Thay Creek Crossing Bridge on Wegyi-Winpyan inter-village road in Pobbathiri Township and stressed to ensure uninterrupted public access and road safety.
