




Relief aid and food items contributed by families of the Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air) and well-wishers, and relief supplies provided by the National Disaster Management Committee for the by Cyclone Mocha-affected people in Rakhine State are being transported by Tatmadaw aircraft and helicopters.
On Saturday, a total of 2.3 tonnes of school materials and relief supplies donated by the Ministry of Education and foodstuffs donated by well-wishers were delivered from Yangon International Airport to Sittwe Airport by the Tatmadaw aircraft.
Since after the Cyclone Mocha till the 10th of June, a total of 3,276 Tatmadaw members and departmental staff for rehabilitation works and 493.3 tonnes of supplies were helicoptered to the storm-battered areas in Rakhine State. Officials in the respective areas received and distributed the relief items to the storm victims.
