Relatives back to Indonesia's quake-tsunami city for family reunion

Indonesia's strong earthquakes and tsunami in Central Sulawesi province have caused huge casualties with power outage and airport closure, making it difficult to get in and out of the disaster zones. Some people are waiting anxiously to leave but others found every means to return to search for their family members.

According to the latest data, up to 13:00 Sunday, the death toll from Friday's quake-tsunami in Central Sulawesi reached 832.Amomg them, 821 were in Palu City and 11 were in Donggala County.

Chinese President Xi Jinping sent a message of condolences to his Indonesian counterpart Joko Widodo Sunday. He said China is willing to provide any help necessary, and extend his sympathies to the injured, bereaved families and people in disaster-ridden areas.
