Rehaibilitation Works: Efforts for relief and rehabilitation measures in Sittwe

Union Ministers Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung, U Myo Thant and Dr Thet Thet Khine accompanied by Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin on Sunday arrived at the U Ottama Hall in Sittwe, and inspected the progress of the repairing roofs, maintenance of the ceilings and windows, and water and power supplies.

They also inspected the renovation works for interior decoration and instructed the necessaries. Next, Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung and party visited Dakhinar Rama Pariyatti Sarthintaik in Pyi Taw Thar ward and paid homage to the presiding  Nayaka Sayadaw. 

They then submitted the religious matters, and renovation of religious buildings. They later offered day meal, offertories and cash donations. At the WaiLuWon Monastic School in Sat Yoe Kya ward, they cordially greeted teachers and students, paid homage the Principal Sayadaw and submitted the conditions of students’ learning, classrooms and the religious matters.

And they offered day meal, offertories and cash donations. Next, the Union Ministers and party gave snacks to the students and observed the chosen site for construction of new school building. Afterwards, Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung and party visited the Shari Shari Mahadeva Bari ( Maha Shiva) Hindu Temple at the Kyaung Tet Lan ward and oversaw the renovation of the temple damaged by the storm.

They also donated foodstuff to the officials of the temple. On arrival at the Saint Mark’s Cathedral, situated at the corner of Mayyu and Chin Pyan Road, the Union Ministers and party inspected the repairs of the Church damaged by the storm and fulfilled the requirements.
