Rehabilitations in Rakhine State: Ministry of Transport sends relief items

Under the guidance of the National Disaster Management Committee, with the supervision of the Transport and Communication Work Committee, the relief items are being transported to Rakhine State by vessels, air and vehicles.

On 30th May, MV Charites vessel left for Sittwe by carrying corrugated iron sheets, cement bags, iron rods, tarpaulin sheets, nails, timber vehicles, teak logs, sawn timbers, hollow pipe, purified drinking water, instant noodles, ready-made food, clothes and household utensils, medicines and rehabilitation materials via Myanmar Terminal (TMT).

From 16th May to date, a total of 18,511 tons of relief items, 249,762 gallons of diesel, 199,886 gallons of Octane 92 were transported to Sittwe, Rakhine State by 14 vessels including Navy vessels.
