






The State Administration Council has issued announcements on the areas affected by Cyclone Mocha as natural disaster areas under Section 11 of the Disaster Management Law and assigned senior military officers to carry out restoration work in the areas of these announcements.
On 20th June, Lt-General Lu Aye from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) and departmental officials inspected cleaning drains to upgrade drainage system in Thanpaikchaung Ward in Kyauk Phyu Township and oversaw health care provision to the local people at Monastery in Ward.
Likewise, Lt-General Aye Win and departmental officials inspected the cleaning processes of the drains for the better drainage system in Myothit Ward, Buthidaung Township and gave necessary instructions. Then, the Lt-General provided to local people and village representatives from 16 village tracts affected by the storm.
On 19th June, Ma-J Gen. Thaung Htaik Shwe and departmental officials visited in Ward and Yatanatejarama monastic schools in ward, in Myauk U Township and paid homage to the presiding sayadaws and donated cash donated by the Department of Natural Disaster Management.
On 20th June, Brigadier General Nay Win Aung and officials donated cash for basic education schools and religious buildings damaged by the storm in Palatwa Township in Chin State and coordinated the requirements.
