Rehabilitation Works: Senior military officers made inspections

Under Section 11 of the Natural Disaster Management Law, the State Administration Council declared the areas damaged by Cyclone Mocha as areas affected by natural disasters and appointed senior military officers to carry out rehabilitation activities in the areas mentioned in the announcement. 

On 22nd of June, Lt. Gen Lu Aye from Office of the Commander in Chief (Army) currently in Kyauk Phyu township of Rakhine state along with departmental officials provided cash assistance for the elders at Home for the Aged (Kyauk Phyu) and he inspected giving healthcare services to the local residents by the Natural Disaster Rescue Team. 

Similarly, Lt.Gen Aye Win currently in Buthidaung township, Rakhine state inspected removing garbage in Myo Lae creek for the good flow of water and encouraged Tatmadaw men, members of police forces/fire service department and district and Township development committee, social organizations and local residents making collaborative efforts into township development.

He also inspected the fish breeding works at the private fish breeding pond in Latwe Dakpyinchay village-tract and coordinated the needs. Moreover, the cyclone shelter was also inspected and he made provisions at Nannyarkone Post Basic Education Primary School for Mocha cyclone victims and teachers and observed teaching the lessons at the school.

Likewise on 21st and 22nd of June, Major General Thaung Htike Shwe currently in Mrauk-U township of Rakhine State along with the departmental officials provided foodstuff and cash assistance at the Charity Youth Development Centers located in Tainnyo and Nadin villages.

Also, Brigadier General Zaw Min Aye currently in Yanbye Township along with departmental officials provided foodstuff for the cyclone victims at Rammawadi hall of Township Development Department.
