






Under Section 11 of the Natural Disaster Management Law, the State Administration Council declared the areas damaged by Cyclone Mocha as areas affected by natural disasters and appointed senior military officers to carry out rehabilitation activities in the areas mentioned in the announcement.
On 21st of June, Lt. Gen Lu Aye from Office of the Commander in Chief (Army) currently in Kyauk Phyu township of Rakhine state along with departmental officials inspected draining the drainages at ASoeYa ward and renovation works of staff housing at Saltwater Shrimp Hatchery Camp in Kyaukphyu Township and instructed the needs.
Likewise on the same day, Lt.Gen Aye Win and officials who are assigned to carry out the rehabilitation works in Buthidaung township, Maungtaw district of Rakhine state made inspection at Thapyaykone ward where Tatmadaw men, members of police forces/fire service department and district and Township development committee, social organizations and local residents are making collaborative efforts into township development works including cleaning drainages and clearing garbage and they all were encouraged and relevant officials were instructed to carry out the needs.
Then, Lt. Gen and party attended the ceremony on provision of quality strains for 120 acres of pedigree seeds production which is to be implemented by the farmers and MPE Urea fertilizer held at the meeting hall of Agriculture Department in the township. There, 120 baskets of paddy strains and 1000 bags of Urea fertilizer were provided and officials coordinated the needs upon the reports of the farmers. From there, Lt. Gen and party inspected the storage warehouses for paddy and fertilizer and the relevant officials are asked to make systematic arrangement inside the storage.
Afterwards, Lt. Gen and party observed the hatchery camp at Myoma Ceti Taung village where fish breeding works including fingerlings distribution and production are being implemented by the Department of Fisheries.
