






Member of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister, Union Minister Admiral Tin Aung San, together with Union Ministers Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung, U Myo Thant and Dr Thet Thet Khaing, Chief Minister U Htein Lin, the Deputy Ministers and officials, visited Sittwe Multi-purpose Jetty on Sunday.
Their visit aims to oversee the docking of vessels carrying supplies for relief and rehabilitation efforts, as well as ensure the systematic distribution of these supplies to the affected areas. They then inspected the cleaning works being carried out from Bandhula Roundabout to Technological University (Sittwe) by the officials from the Ministry of Electric Power and rescue teams. On arrival at the Technological University (Sittwe), they heard reports on completion of renovation works and future plans.
Admiral Tin Aung San inspected the progress of works and teaching aid equipment, and gave instructions for the readiness of practical lectures and regular maintenance of the facilities. The Admiral later arrived at Alotaw Pyae Monastery and donated offertories and day meal to the Sayadaw. In the afternoon, a work coordination meeting for the rehabilitation process took place at the Rakhine State Government Office.
During this meeting, officials from various work committees provided reports on the arrival and distribution of relief items, progress made in rehabilitation works, and future plans. In response to these reports, Admiral Tin Aung San emphasized the need for systematic management to address the issue of undisciplined garbage disposal, which would contribute to the beautification of Sittwe.
He also instructed for the systematic distribution of relief items based on priorities and the speedy implementation of rehabilitation works.
